Let’s be honest, summer is by far the best season of the year. It’s pretty much a three month long party. From hosting BBQ’s, making s’mores, getting your tan on, pool parties, running through sprinklers, fresh salsa from the garden, long evening walks, the smell of fresh cut grass; the list goes on and on. The warm air alone puts a smile on my face.
I’ve definitely been enjoying the transition from spring to summer. The yard is really coming together and I finally bought some chairs for James and I to sit and enjoy the evening breeze while drinking hard ciders. The garden is getting fuller and fuller each day so soon enough we will have fresh homemade salsa! The anticipation is killing me.
It really felt like it was finally summer when it was hot enough for Jett (the boy I babysit everyday) and Blakely (my cousin) to spend the afternoon running and jumping through the sprinkler. It made my warm, summer-lovin heart happy.
